HOPEWELL CENTER
"ARRIVAL EXPERIENCE FROM A ROUND WELCOMING LOBBY TO A CASCADE OF ESCALATORS UNDER A TRIPLE-HEIGHT ATRIUM, CREATING A VISUALLY STRIKING ENTRANCE"
Hopewell Centre was built in 1980 and has since become a prominent landmark in the Wan Chai District. Hopewell Centre stands on the slope of a hill so steep that the building office lobby has to be reached through a series of escalators from Queen's Road East Entrance
The revitalization of the Hopewell Office Lobby aims to enhance the accessibility and functionality of the building by addressing the unique challenge posed by its location and reimagining the space to create a more inviting and sophisticated environment for tenants and visitors
The revitalization project will involve the redesign of the arrival experience from a round welcoming lobby to a cascade of escalators under a triple-height atrium, creating a visually striking entrance that integrates seamlessly with the building's surrounding retail mall, together with a flying bridge within the atrium
The facade and exterior of the Hopewell Centre will also be revamped, creating a modern and visually appealing aesthetic. Furthermore, the revitalization project will incorporate sustainable design principles, such as energy-efficient lighting systems and greenery, to reduce the building's environmental impact. The revitalization of Hopewell Centre will lead to a new re-brand of the development to a modern and sophisticated style for the next decade
